PRESS RELEASE | 12 September 2008 - Registration has begun for Accessing the Maine Coast

Registration has begun for Accessing the Maine Coast, a free workshop and idea forum.  An attorney from the University of Maine School of Law will present new information and legal tools to address coastal access issues for property owners, municipal officials, and waterfront users. The workshop also will highlight local projects in the Working Waterfront Access Pilot Program and Current Use Taxation Program, and provide an update on Working Waterfront Coalition activities. This event is sponsored by Maine Sea Grant, Maine Coastal Program, Island Institute, and the Center for Law and Innovation at the University of Maine School of Law. A light meal will be served.
