ORONO, Me. - Maine Sea Grant is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathlyn Tenga-Gonzalez as publications designer for the program. She will coordinate layout and graphic design of all print and digital publications produced by Maine Sea Grant.

Kathlyn has an extensive background in graphic design, with over twenty years of experience as a design director, studio manager, and freelance artist. She has a B.F.A. degree in commercial art from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where she worked as a freelance artist for ten years. Since 1996, Kathlyn has been a partner and design director with Quantum Corral Advertising & Design, a marketing, graphic design, and production company which was founded in New York, NY, and relocated to Bangor, ME, in 2000.

Since moving to Maine, Kathlyn has completed design work for many local clients, including the Strand Theatre in Rockland, the Arcady Music Society, Greater Bangor Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce. She also helped found, and currently serves on the board of, the River City Cinema Society in Bangor.

As part of her work with Maine Sea Grant, Kathlyn will work with the program's communications team to develop and produce multimedia publications for a variety of audiences throughout Maine and the Northeast region. She can be reached at 207-581-1441 or kathlyn.tenga-gonzalez@maine.edu.
