Water Sampling Results: All MBLR Data Charts
These charts show the levels of fecal coliform bacteria and E. coli bacteria in the Merriland River, Branch Brook, Little River (MBLR) watershed.
    • Merriland River - M1 (at head of tide for river) to M7 (furthest upstream site)
    • Branch Brook - BB1 (head of tide for river) to BB5 (furthest upstream site)
    • Little River Esturary- L1, L4 and L6 (named by Wells NERR's W.E.T. program)
    • CF1 - "Chick Farm Tributary" (so named by this project) of Branch Brook
    • SB1 and ESB1- Two tributaries of Branch Brook with confluence near Route 1

March 18, 2003, graph showing low bacterial counts except for two sites. Two upstream sites of the Merriland River show 76 and 136 E. coli CFU per 100 mL.

March 21, 2003, graph showing high bacterial counts for some Merriland River sites, and low to moderate counts for other sites.

Chart of March 21, 2003, showing moderate counts for some Merriland River sites and one Branch Brook Tributary, and low counts for other sites.

Graph of April 1, 2003, fecal coliform and E. coli bacteria, showing low levels throughout watershed, despite high water flow conditions.

Graph of April 8, 2003, fecal coliform and E. coli bacteria, showing low levels throughout watershed. Recent snow and cold temperatures were sampling conditions.

May 6, 2003, bacterial results from MBLR watershed. Shows low counts except for moderate counts at site BB5.

Graph of May 13, 2003, bacteria showing high counts (75 - 200) for 7 of 21 sites.

Graph of May 20, 2003. Shows moderately high counts for three sites, BB5, M7 and M1, and low counts (less than 25) for other sites.

Graph of May 25, 2003. Shows high counts for many sites, probably due to recent rain.

Graph of May 27, 2003. Shows very high counts for virtually all sites, probably due to recent rain.
