The Microbial Source Tracking Project works because of the cooperation between many organizations:

• Jackson Estuarine Laboratory at the University of New Hampshire
• Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve at Laudholm Farm
• AmeriCorps and the Maine Conservation Corps
• University of Southern Maine's Muskie School of Public Service
• Maine Department of Marine Resources
• Many dedicated volunteers from the local community who generously give their time and energy to collect water samples and help in the lab.
