The Maine Sea Grant College Program will be reviewed in June, 2010. A review team organized by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will visit the University of Maine June 8-9, 2010, to conduct a review of the Sea Grant program’s management, institutional setting, and engagement of stakeholders. This review, in combination with periodic reporting to the National Sea Grant College Program, will ultimately provide the basis for Maine Sea Grant’s ranking in the Sea Grant network.
The five-member review team will be co-chaired by Dr. Michael Liffmann of the National Sea Grant College Program and Rear Admiral Richard West, U.S. Navy (Ret.). Maine Sea Grant is one of 32 Sea Grant programs based in coastal and Great Lakes states that implement research, education and outreach programs to serve local, regional and national marine and coastal needs.
You are invited to provide written comments regarding Maine Sea Grant’s performance in the areas of program management, institutional setting, and stakeholder engagement.
